Hayes, Peter: Gallery
Peter Hayes travelled and worked in Africa, India, Japan and Korea for ten years before setting up his studio in a converted tollhouse in Bath in 1982. Since then he has developed his thoughts and ideas using many of the techniques and methods learnt on his travels. By building up layers of textured clay combined with burnishing and polishing of surfaces he achieves opposites of rough and smooth.
